We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sourcing/Procurement Engineer to join our team in Sharq, Kuwait. You’ll play a vital role in managing the procurement process for government tenders, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials, components, and services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire procurement process for government tenders, from identifying and evaluating suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing project timelines.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to find the most reliable suppliers who meet our quality and cost requirements.
- Conduct thorough supplier evaluations to assess their capabilities, qualifications, and past performance.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure the best possible terms for the company.
- Oversee the procurement process to ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and government procurement regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication or Electrical preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing procurement projects for government tenders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software (a plus).
