Responsibilities
- Cashier Duties:
- Handle customer transactions efficiently, receiving payments, issuing receipts, and processing cash, check, credit card, voucher, and debit transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for each interaction.
- Maintain accurate cash drawers, balancing them at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Reconcile daily sales and cash receipts.
- Accounting Duties:
- Post and process journal entries to accurately record financial transactions.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, issuing invoices and performing reconciliations.
- Maintain inventory control and stock management, reporting to the manager.
- Prepare and maintain basic financial reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field (preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic math and accounting principles.
- Experience with cash registers, POS systems, and basic computer applications.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures.
