Job Introduction:
As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimizing the company’s procurement and logistics processes. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality goods and services.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify reliable suppliers for materials, components, and services.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and capabilities based on cost, quality, delivery time, and other relevant factors.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms (price, delivery, payment etc.).
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality, timely delivery, and adherence to contracts.
- Oversee the procurement process, including purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and managing logistics.
- Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, finance, operations) to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for procurement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement engineering or a similar role.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
