Mechanical Quantity Surveyor Needed in Ardhiya, Kuwait

A construction company in Ardhiya, Kuwait is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor (MQS) to join their team. In this role, you will play a vital role in managing the costs associated with mechanical engineering aspects of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for mechanical works.
• Estimate and assess the cost of mechanical equipment, materials, and labor.
• Review and analyze construction drawings and specifications.
• Participate in tendering processes and negotiation of contracts.
• Manage and control mechanical subcontractor costs.
• Monitor and report on project progress and budget adherence.
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor.
• Proven experience in the construction industry, preferably in Kuwait.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector (highly preferred).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and construction methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., Synchro, CostX).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
