Responsibilities

  • Represent Canonical and its solutions within your territory, building and executing a territory plan for outreach and prospecting.
  • Develop new pipeline opportunities through outreach, local marketing, and participation in industry events.
  • Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
  • Manage customer relationships throughout the sales cycle, ensuring satisfaction and engagement.
  • Collaborate with field engineers to propose solutions that address customer business challenges.
  • Work closely with customer success teams to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts using Salesforce, ensuring clear reporting on sales activities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key influencers and decision-makers in target enterprises.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
  • Experience with open source technology and solutions.
  • Proven track record in enterprise software or technology sales, with a history of meeting sales targets and winning new accounts.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills and self-discipline.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages relevant to the market are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry events.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in specific verticals, such as finance, telecommunications, health, energy, public sector, or technology.
  • Previous experience speaking at conferences or industry events.
