Job Purpose

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for all aspects of sales management, including leading a team, account management, business analytics, and channel development. The role requires strategic thinking, exceptional sales skills, and a proven track record in converting leads into business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development:
    • Build and implement creative sales strategies aligned with Operating Group priorities and local market opportunities.
    • Lead business development initiatives across all key sectors within Kuwait and Iraq.
  • Performance Management:
    • Accountable for achieving sales and growth objectives in the designated regions.
    • Assess and identify competencies and resources required for optimal sales department performance.
  • Sales Research & Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough research and analysis of the sales department’s performance to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
    • Utilize insights to inform strategies that support goal achievement.
  • Project Development:
    • Maintain and develop a comprehensive list of projects, opportunities, and tenders for major prospects.
    • Manage key accounts and foster relationships with public and private sector clients for tendering and negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
    • Preferred: Master’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 15 years in a sales position within a complex, fast-paced business environment, ideally as a Sales Manager.
    • Proven experience in sales research and translating data into actionable insights.
    • Established relationships within the industry and familiarity with sales account databases and CRM platforms.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional sales skills with a consistent track record of sales conversion success.
    • Strong analytical skills, capable of conducting detailed market analysis.
    • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to engage with clients at all levels.
