Alghanim Industries is seeking a Documentation Coordinator to join our logistics team. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing import shipments via sea and air for various customers. This role involves collaborating with shipping lines, customs clearance teams, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and experience in freight forwarding operations.
Responsibilities
- Follow day-to-day instructions from the Operations Supervisor regarding shipment coordination.
- Provide customers with regular updates on shipment status and respond to their queries.
- Collaborate with shipping agents, airlines, and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of jobs.
- Coordinate with vendors to meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Work closely with internal departments such as finance and accounts to ensure job execution is aligned with company procedures.
- Post costs in the ERP system and audit cost invoices from ministries and clearance teams before submission to accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the system to reflect the latest shipment information.
- Report to the line manager on ongoing jobs, highlighting any issues for resolution.
Qualifications
- Nationality: Preferably Kuwaiti.
- Education: Minimum High School Certificate or Diploma with relevant work experience.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding operations for air, sea, and land routes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Experience interacting with various departments and stakeholders.
- Valid Kuwait Driving License is a plus.
