Responsibilities
- EH&S Management:
- Collaborate with line management to implement corporate and regional EH&S programs, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and Carrier’s EHS standards.
- Proactively identify and manage EH&S aspects, impacts, hazards, and risks to ensure business continuity.
- Advisory Role:
- Provide guidance to field operations on EH&S matters, supporting the implementation of the EH&S Operating System, Safety Commitments, and Standard Practices.
- Inspections and Audits:
- Conduct regular EH&S inspections, audits, and risk assessments at various company locations and customer sites to ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on emerging local regulations affecting operations and ensure their implementation.
- Accident Investigation:
- Lead investigations of accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Training and Development:
- Prepare and conduct annual EH&S training based on risk assessments, ensuring all new employees receive EHS orientation.
- Establish and implement training programs for contractors and conduct regular audits of these programs.
- Data Management:
- Ensure correct and timely reporting of EHS data in the company’s reporting system (Enablon).
- Review compliance records and address any non-compliance issues.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety and Health or a related field.
- Internationally accredited certification in EH&S (e.g., NEBOSH) is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or leading EH&S initiatives in a similar role.
- Experience working in global corporations with a multicultural environment is advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and EHS-related data management systems (e.g., Enablon).
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing circumstances.
Language:
- Fluency in English is required.
