Responsibilities
As a Database Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Operational DBA Duties: Perform installation, upgrades, patching, environment cloning, and implement backup/recovery procedures for SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Design and Architecture: Architect, build, and deploy SQL Server and Oracle platforms based on business requirements, ensuring robust test and production systems.
- Problem Resolution: Interface with application development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application and database systems.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and supporting enterprise databases.
- Significant knowledge of SQL Server (both on-premises and Azure SQL services) and Oracle database technology, including backup and recovery techniques.
- Technical Skills:
- Good working knowledge of High Availability technologies such as SQL Failover Clusters and Availability Groups.
- Strong hands-on experience administering large, high-volume 24/7 SQL and Oracle databases in complex enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Windows Clustering, SaaS, web development, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with SQL Server installation and configuration.
