We are currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Architectural Engineering, with a start date in Fall 2024. Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Teaching & Mentorship: Develop and deliver undergraduate courses, prepare teaching materials, and provide mentorship to students on academic and research projects.
- Research & Publication: Engage in innovative research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the advancement of departmental research initiatives.
- Student Support: Evaluate, monitor, and mentor students to help them achieve academic success.
- Curriculum Development: Design assessments, prepare class activities, and create an engaging learning environment.
- Service to the University: Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to committee work, and support college-wide initiatives and activities.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on developments in architectural engineering and engage in continuous professional growth.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD in Architectural Engineering or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Experience: Demonstrated teaching experience and a strong research record, with excellent publication metrics over the past five years.
- Skills: Proficient in oral and written English; industry experience is advantageous.
- Research Interests: Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Building Envelopes
- Building Energy
- Building Performance
- Building Control and Lighting
- Indoor Building Environment
- Acoustics Engineering
- BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
