Pace | Architecture, Engineering + Planning is looking for a highly skilled Lead Application Developer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications, plugins, websites, and databases tailored for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. You will ensure that our solutions are user-friendly and up to date with the latest technology trends while providing training and support to end users.
Responsibilities
Software Development:
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with business stakeholders to develop tailored software solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain key components of the software suite using .NET, Python, and SharePoint Online.
- Implement SharePoint-based forms and workflows and support Autodesk BIM360, ACC, and other AEC information repositories.
Project Management:
- Actively participate in solution design reviews and provide innovative ideas in a collaborative environment.
- Perform software design, debugging, testing, and deployment of solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Regularly communicate with business unit representatives to understand new changes and requirements.
- Support various software from Autodesk, Bentley, CSI, and ESRI, ensuring adherence to technical protocols and standards.
Training and Development:
- Train users and other developers on system implementation and usage.
- Create knowledge base articles to maintain technical standards and improve user experience.
Maintenance & Improvement:
- Test and maintain software products to ensure optimal functionality.
- Recommend improvements to existing software solutions and participate in business process re-engineering.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, preferably within the AEC industry.
Skills:
- Proficiency in software development tools and languages, including .NET and Python.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and SharePoint Online.
- Strong understanding of BIM technologies and EDMS software such as ACC Build, Aconex, and FileNet.
