Avua is seeking a skilled Risk Manager to join our team for a client project in the nuclear and marine infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment & Management: Lead risk assessment and management activities for nuclear projects, ensuring comprehensive identification and mitigation strategies are in place.
- Framework Development: Develop and implement risk management frameworks that comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and specific project requirements.
- Decision Support: Provide risk-based decision support to project management, enabling informed decisions for marine infrastructure projects.
- Monitoring & Auditing: Monitor project risk throughout the lifecycle by regularly reviewing and updating risk registers, conducting risk reviews, and audits.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate risk management strategies into project design, planning, and execution phases.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and present findings to stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory bodies, and clients.
- Marine Risk Management: Work closely with marine engineers, offshore construction teams, and transmission engineers to address specific risks related to marine environments, such as subsea cable installation and vessel operations.
- Implementation of Plans: Ensure effective implementation of risk mitigation plans during project execution.
- Contingency Planning: Support the development of contingency plans and emergency response procedures tailored to marine operations and offshore transmission projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-RMP) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, particularly within nuclear or marine infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of industry standards and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Additional Requirements:
