We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our Engineering Company based in Hawally, Kuwait. This is a full-time position for candidates with at least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the engineering or construction industry. Indians are preferred for this role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
As an Accountant, you will be expected to handle various financial duties, including but not limited to:
- Managing day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
- Preparing and maintaining financial reports, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements.
- Ensuring accurate reconciliation of bank statements and company accounts.
- Overseeing payroll processing, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, laws, and internal controls.
- Liaising with auditors, preparing financial audits, and ensuring accurate tax filings.
- Analyzing financial data and providing insights to support management decisions.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, ideally within an engineering or similar technical industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and tax laws in Kuwait.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Residency: Only applicants currently residing in Kuwait will be considered.
