We are seeking a young and dynamic Application Support Engineer to join our team in Ahmadi, Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 3 years of experience in application support. Candidates with experience in the oil and gas sector and those who hold a valid driving license will be given preference. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining critical applications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for various applications, ensuring their smooth operation and minimizing downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement updates, patches, and new features as required.
- Monitor application performance, identify issues, and take corrective actions to ensure optimal functionality.
- Liaise with end-users to understand their requirements and provide user training when necessary.
- Assist with the deployment of new applications and ensure they are integrated effectively into the existing systems.
- Document support activities, issues resolved, and solutions provided to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Adhere to all company policies, including those related to safety and data protection.
Qualifications:
- Engineering or Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Application Support role.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues, application deployment, and system integration.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, databases, and application frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with end-users and technical teams.
- Valid Kuwaiti driving license (preferred).
