Responsibilities
As the Cluster Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for the following key areas:
Team Management:
- Conduct daily briefings to ensure all pertinent information is communicated effectively to team members.
- Supervise and manage daily activities of the engineering department across the cluster, ensuring team members are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor team performance and provide training on current safety issues to ensure compliance with local laws and safety regulations.
Facilities Management:
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms, and their contents.
- Ensure the execution and achievement of the hotel’s preventive maintenance program, addressing issues promptly to minimize disruption.
Project Management:
- Collaborate with the Design and Construction team, engineers, and outside architects on renovations and new projects.
- Manage contractors and oversee bidding processes to ensure projects meet quality standards and timelines.
Budget and Inventory Control:
- Monitor departmental budgets and control expenses, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial forecasting.
- Establish procedures regarding the security and replenishment of the hotel’s inventory and assets, including tools, supplies, equipment, and furniture.
Safety and Security:
- Assess security requirements necessary to protect hotel property, employees, guests, and patrons against theft, crime, and other hazards.
- Manage relationships with third-party security firms contracted for safety services.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Cluster Chief Engineer position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Education: Relevant degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
