We are currently seeking an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for a key client in the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities

As the Environment, Health and Safety Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Policy Development: Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies tailored to the organization’s needs.
  • Risk Management: Create and maintain project risk registers, conduct thorough risk assessments, and proactively identify hazards.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide comprehensive HSE training to staff, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key HSE performance metrics, including incident rates, compliance levels, and training completion, and report findings to management.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various departments to integrate HSE considerations into all operational processes and projects.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and enhancing resource conservation.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to local and international safety standards and regulations, maintaining a robust HSE management system.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 15 years of practical experience in the oil and gas sector.
    • At least 5 years of experience in gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.
    • A minimum of 5 years in a relevant HSE leadership or management position.
  • HSE Certifications: Two or more HSE certifications such as:
    • General Industrial Safety
    • Construction Safety
    • Environmental Management
    • Industrial Hygiene
    • ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor
    • NEBOSH, ICertOSH, or ASSE Certificate in Global Safety Management.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to develop and maintain in-house HSE procedures.
    • Knowledge of local and international safety standards and norms.
