Key Responsibilities
As the Environment, Health and Safety Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Policy Development: Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies tailored to the organization’s needs.
- Risk Management: Create and maintain project risk registers, conduct thorough risk assessments, and proactively identify hazards.
- Training and Awareness: Provide comprehensive HSE training to staff, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

- Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and enhancing resource conservation.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to local and international safety standards and regulations, maintaining a robust HSE management system.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of practical experience in the oil and gas sector.
- At least 5 years of experience in gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.
- A minimum of 5 years in a relevant HSE leadership or management position.
- HSE Certifications: Two or more HSE certifications such as:
- General Industrial Safety
- Construction Safety
- Environmental Management
- Industrial Hygiene
- ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor
- NEBOSH, ICertOSH, or ASSE Certificate in Global Safety Management.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain in-house HSE procedures.
- Knowledge of local and international safety standards and norms.
