Braintrust is seeking an experienced Global Project Manager to lead a high-impact global initiative on behalf of BASF. This is a remote position open to candidates within the EMEA region, but the ability to overlap with EST time zones is crucial. The initial contract runs through the end of 2023, with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment. If you have experience managing large-scale global projects involving system migrations and business process alignment, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a transformative initiative.
Responsibilities
- Global Project Management: Lead and manage a large global project aimed at consolidating outdated and disconnected systems into modern solutions. The project will involve several smaller initiatives rolled into one overarching strategy.
- Alignment & Integration: Ensure alignment between multiple teams and processes, connecting groups at the appropriate times to drive end-to-end project success.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with global, cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring that project updates are shared, and goals are met.
- Agile Methodologies: Implement and manage the project using Agile methodologies, ensuring iterative progress and responsiveness to change.
- Azure DevOps: Utilize Azure DevOps to streamline workflows, track progress, and foster collaboration among technical and non-technical teams.
- Business Acumen: Translate business needs and strategic goals into actionable technical requirements. Work with BASF IT teams to ensure solutions meet business processes and organizational objectives.
- System Migration & Harmonization: Oversee the migration of multiple outdated or homegrown systems into modern, unified solutions. This includes data harmonization across different systems and locations.
- Technology Expertise: Familiarity with Salesforce, Propel, SpecRight, QMS, and PLM migrations is a plus. Manage large-scale migration projects from a process-oriented, rather than system-by-system, perspective.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience managing large global projects, preferably involving system migrations, data harmonization, and business process optimization.
- Agile Project Management: Strong experience in managing large-scale Agile projects with demonstrated success in delivering business-critical outcomes.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data structures, data migration projects, and large system migrations. Experience with Azure DevOps is highly preferred.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes, with the ability to document workflows (Visio) and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage global teams and ensure continuous collaboration and alignment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce & Platform Migrations: Experience with platform migrations, particularly Salesforce, Propel, SpecRight, QMS, and PLM.
- Data Migration & Harmonization: Experience in large-scale data migration and harmonization across multiple systems and sites.
- Cloud Experience: Working knowledge of cloud-based platforms, particularly Azure, is a plus.
Benefits
- Remote Work: Fully remote position with the flexibility to manage your own schedule, provided you can overlap with EST for key meetings.
- Contract Extension: While this is initially a contract position through the end of 2023, there is potential for extension or full-time conversion based on project needs and performance.
- Career Development: Opportunity to lead a high-visibility global project, working with diverse teams and cutting-edge technology solutions.
