This hands-on position involves overseeing software development, from strategic planning to execution, ensuring our technology exceeds customer expectations and remains at the forefront of the SEO industry.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead the engineering team in developing and implementing software solutions, ensuring high-quality code aligned with strategic goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Manager to define and execute the product roadmap, ensuring technology aligns with business objectives.
- Decision Making: Make pivotal decisions regarding the selection, development, and deployment of technological tools and frameworks.
- Sprint Management: Manage sprint planning, allocation, implementation, and retrospective analysis to optimize team workflows.
- Architectural Oversight: Ensure architectural integrity and maintain the scalability and reliability of our systems.
- Innovation Culture: Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to stay ahead of industry trends and explore new technologies.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Establish high standards for code quality, documentation, and testing procedures.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring motivation and goal achievement.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Serve as a technical and business advisor to other departments, helping them implement technology solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Familiarity with the tech stack: PHP, Vue.js, GitHub, AWS, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, MySQL.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle management.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Experience as an Engineering Manager in a technology-driven organization.
- Willingness to sharpen leadership skills, even without previous similar titles.
