Quantitative Developer

We are hiring experienced Quantitative Developers for our employer partner, a leading global investment management fund based in London, United Kingdom. As a Quantitative Developer, you will work closely with Quantitative Researchers, tackling various challenges that involve implementing new trading strategies and developing cutting-edge tools.


Role Overview

In this position, you will:

  • Collaborate with Quantitative Researchers to implement new trading strategies.
  • Build new research frameworks and quant libraries.
  • Prototype new data feeds and develop portfolio construction techniques.
  • Create risk analysis tools tailored to investment strategies.

Note: This role is on-site with our employer partner in London, United Kingdom.


Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge in Python.
  • Experience in signal research implementation.
  • Relevant mathematical knowledge (statistics, asset pricing theory, optimization algorithms).
  • Solid understanding of portfolio optimization and risk-leveraging workflows.
  • Experience with algorithm engineering, trade automation, and order generation.
  • Proficiency on Linux platforms and knowledge of various scripting languages.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with open-source frameworks and development tools (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Pyramid, AngularJS, React).
  • Understanding of various programming styles (OO, functional) and design patterns.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong academic record with a degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics) from a leading university.
  • Craftsman-like approach to building software, valuing engineering excellence.
  • Focused on delivering value to the business and improving processes continuously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to establish and maintain close working relationships with quantitative researchers, traders, and senior business people.
  • Confident communicator, able to articulate points concisely and navigate conflicting views positively.
  • Intellectually robust with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-organized with effective time management across multiple projects and competing demands.
  • Demonstrable passion for technology (personal projects, open-source involvement).
