Job Requirements

  • Education: A PhD Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Relevant teaching experience in the Accounting discipline at a reputed institution.
    • A consistent track record of intellectual output, evidenced by publications in high-impact, Scopus-indexed journals, with promising potential for further research.
    • Active engagement in curriculum design, program development, and community involvement.

Job Description

The successful candidate is expected to prepare and deliver engaging and innovative Accounting (ACT) coursework using relevant pedagogical approaches. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching courses in the Accounting discipline, such as:
    • Financial Statement Analysis
    • Financial Accounting
    • Auditing
    • Intermediate Accounting
    • Advanced Financial Accounting
    • Public Accounting & Taxation
    • Oil & Gas Accounting
    • Accounting Information Systems & Data Analytics
    • Forensic Accounting
    • Advanced Management Accounting
  • Participating in departmental activities, including representation on academic and support committees.
  • Preparing course material, curriculum design, program development, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
  • Mentoring student projects and academic fair initiatives.
  • Staying current in the field by participating in faculty development programs, serving on task forces, and engaging in student support committees.
  • Upholding the highest standards of ethics and collegiality in teaching and publication.
  • Meeting deadlines for grade submissions and utilizing office hours to support student advancement and development.
