Head of Infrastructure Office – Giga Project Experience Only

Business Umbrella is seeking an experienced Head of Infrastructure Office with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically within the realm of giga projects. Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Lead the full lifecycle of large and complex infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Team Management: Direct and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring the effective delegation of tasks.
• Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.
• Budget Management: Prepare and deliver annual budgets, monitoring financial performance and making necessary adjustments.
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, statutory requirements, and health & safety standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Utilize continuous improvement techniques to enhance performance and drive project efficiencies.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and financial metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Recognized degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 20 years of formal engineering or architectural training, with at least 10 years of professional experience in large international airport projects (20 million Annual Passengers or more). Operational airport environment experience is preferred.
• Site Experience: A minimum of 5 years of site experience is required, demonstrating hands-on management of complex projects.
• Project Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and software tools, with proven skills in delivering projects within tight deadlines.
• Financial Acumen: Financial management skills with the ability to prepare and manage annual budgets effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a focus on detail and quality of outputs.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to creatively solve problems and implement effective solutions.
• Mentoring and Coaching: Ability to train and develop subordinate skills, fostering teamwork among team members.
