Key Responsibilities
- Design Assistance: Support the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and products.
- CAD Modeling: Create detailed engineering drawings, models, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Engineering Analysis: Perform simulations and analyses to evaluate the performance and behavior of mechanical designs.
- Collaboration: Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Material & Supplier Selection: Assist in the selection of materials, manufacturing processes, and suppliers for mechanical components.
- Prototype Support: Contribute to prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
- Testing & Experimentation: Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate mechanical properties, performance, and failure modes.
- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to support project objectives.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends, standards, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field (internship experience will be considered).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA. Familiarity with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) for structural and thermal analysis is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct engineering analyses.
- Prototyping Knowledge: Experience with prototyping tools and techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, or rapid prototyping is advantageous.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset for cross-functional teamwork.
