We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Junior Civil Engineer to support one of our clients in executing diverse civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Design: Assist in the planning and design of civil engineering projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility design.
- Site Investigations: Conduct site investigations and surveys to collect data that informs project planning and design.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and ensure timely project execution.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in obtaining necessary permits and regulatory approvals for construction projects.
- Construction Monitoring: Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Field Inspections: Conduct field inspections and testing to verify the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
- Problem-Solving: Assist in resolving technical issues and challenges that may arise during the project’s implementation phase.
- Knowledge Updates: Stay updated on advancements in civil engineering technology, relevant regulations, and industry best practices.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with project team members, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth project progression.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in civil engineering or construction (internship experience is also considered).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software. Familiarity with engineering analysis and design software like SAP2000, ETABS, and Civil 3D is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in civil engineering designs and specifications.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and relevant regulations.
- Certifications: A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus but not required.
