Software Engineer – Python/Golang – Kubernetes

In this role, you will be part of the Kubernetes product team, building operators and add-ons that ensure seamless integration and lifecycle management of critical Kubernetes components. This position is an exciting opportunity for software engineers passionate about cutting-edge technologies, open-source software, and cloud infrastructure.

This is a fully remote position available to candidates located in EMEA and the Americas.

Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality, efficient code to develop new features for Kubernetes operators and add-ons.
  • Debug issues and collaborate with a vibrant open-source community to address challenges.
  • Proactively collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team.
  • Work closely with talented engineers and industry experts from diverse technical fields.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Kubernetes and open-source technologies to incorporate best practices into the product.
  • Occasionally travel (2 to 4 weeks per year) to attend internal and external company events.

Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Golang and fluency in Python programming languages.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes and familiarity with its ecosystem and operators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
  • A passion for open-source software, Linux, and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment.
