Operations Manager – Al Mulla Group

Al Mulla Electronics Company, a leading partner with a global innovator in consumer electronics, home appliances, and HVAC systems, is seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to join our team in Kuwait. This role will focus on managing customer orders, overseeing demand and supply planning, and optimizing logistics operations to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Order Management:
    • Process various types of customer orders, including Regular, Direct, Donation, Resale, and Employee sales, both manually and via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
    • Maintain orders by making changes such as suffix alterations, model substitutions, re-pricing, and future order releases.
    • Handle proof of delivery and order acknowledgments, and manage product returns.
  • Customer Service:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for discrepancies and inquiries related to order status, pricing, and other customer concerns.
    • Attend national-level conference calls and meetings with customers and sales representatives.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Analyze forecasting trends, adjust supply plans, and manage inventory levels to meet customer goals and market conditions.
    • Troubleshoot and realign volume forecasts to match supply chain demands.
  • ERP and System Management:
    • Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to manage business processes, including supply chain and demand forecasting.
  • Logistics and Carrier Management:
    • Oversee the booking of customer and carrier appointments, monitor on-time pickup and delivery, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
    • Develop opportunities for cost and service improvements in collaboration with carriers.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on key performance metrics such as appointments, forecasting, and inventory KPIs.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Management:
    • Work closely with the Sales team to align on New Product Introductions (NPIs) and operational transparency.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to support appointment requests and optimize service.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Manage escalations and resolve issues related to missed deliveries and customer complaints.
    • Implement permanent solutions for recurring performance failures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must meet the following qualifications:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • An MBA or related advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications like Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from ISM are preferred.

Experience:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in product-level forecasting and supply planning.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle JD Edwards, or Manugistics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage logistics operations.

Skills

  • Time Management and Organization: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work with internal teams and customers, ensuring alignment on demand-forecast consensus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to address issues and implement long-term solutions to improve performance.
  • Carrier and 3PL Management: Ability to manage logistics providers, ensuring they meet customer requirements and develop cost-efficient strategies.
  • Customer Service and Relationship Management: Strong customer service focus with the ability to maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders.

Work Environment and Additional Requirements

  • Work Hours: One shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
  • Languages: Fluency in both Arabic and English is preferred.
  • Gender: Open to all.
  • Age Range: 35 – 50 years.
