AUM is now seeking dedicated faculty members to join its English Preparatory Program within the College of Engineering and Technology (CoET) for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to student development and be part of a globally recognized institution.
Responsibilities
- Teaching: Deliver high-quality English language instruction to students in the preparatory program, ensuring they are well-prepared for their academic and professional endeavors.
- Course Development: Create and implement teaching materials, quizzes, assessments, and exams in line with the university’s academic standards.
- Student Support: Evaluate, monitor, and mentor students to foster academic growth. Assist with project supervision and provide guidance on language improvement.
- Departmental Engagement: Actively participate in departmental and college-wide activities, meetings, and events. Collaborate with faculty on departmental initiatives and committee work.
- Professional Development: Pursue opportunities for research and professional growth. Maintain and enhance teaching skills and subject competence.
- Leadership and Accountability: Demonstrate leadership and commitment by supporting departmental goals and contributing to the positive academic environment at AUM.

Qualifications
- Educational Requirements:
- A Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), Linguistics, English Literature, or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Preferred Certifications:
- ESL teaching certificates such as CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, or TEFL are highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English (the language of instruction at AUM).
- Ability to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced academic environment.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred, with a commitment to excellence in education.
