Finance – PhD and MS Holders

AUM is currently seeking experienced and dedicated faculty members to join the Finance Department for the Fall 2024 semester. We are recruiting Assistant/Associate Professors and Instructors who are passionate about teaching and research in Finance and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: Deliver finance courses using innovative, immersive, and pedagogically sound approaches. Courses may include, but are not limited to:
  • Financial Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Investment Management
  • Financial Modeling
  • Case Studies in Finance
  • Islamic Finance
  • Financial Technology (FinTech)
• Curriculum Development: Participate in course and program development, including curriculum design, course material preparation, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Student Engagement: Mentor students, supervise projects, and evaluate academic progress. Actively engage students in academic fairs, events, and departmental activities.
• Research: Pursue academic research and publish in high-quality, Scopus-indexed journals. Contribute to the advancement of the Finance field and participate in faculty development programs.
• Departmental Contribution: Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings, serve on committees, and contribute to the academic community through engagement in various task forces and working groups.
• Professionalism: Uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, ethics, and collegiality in all interactions and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements:
  • A PhD or Master’s Degree in Finance or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience:
  • Relevant teaching experience in Finance or related disciplines at a reputable institution.
  • Proven track record of publishing research in high-impact, Scopus-indexed journals.
  • Engagement in curriculum development, program design, and community involvement.
• Skills:
  • Strong pedagogical skills, with a commitment to innovative and immersive teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ethical foundation and respect for cultural diversity.
  • Ability to meet deadlines for grade submissions and other academic responsibilities.
