Sales Manager (Oil and Gas, Downhole Product Line)

NOV Inc., a global leader in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our Downhole team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales initiatives, managing key client relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets in the downhole product line. Our ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of downhole tools and technologies and a proven track record in sales management. This is a dynamic role that requires leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to work closely with both clients and internal teams to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans aimed at achieving corporate goals and sales targets within the Downhole market.
  • New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, expanding our market presence.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to provide tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies and stay ahead in the industry.
  • Presentations & Reporting: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to both potential and existing clients, and provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance and market conditions.
  • Budget Management: Manage sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in sales, with at least 3 years specifically in the downhole industry.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the oil and gas sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of downhole tools and technologies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
    • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to travel as needed, both domestically and internationally.
    • Experience working in a diverse and international environment is a plus.
    • MBA or advanced degree in a related field is highly preferred.
