Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst in the Freight Forwarding division, your key responsibilities will include:
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, emerging markets, and opportunities within the freight forwarding industry.
- Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitors’ offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to identify gaps and potential areas for the company to capitalize on.
- Sales Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify patterns, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Reporting & Presentation: Prepare and present comprehensive reports to the sales team and senior management, highlighting actionable insights and recommendations for business growth.
- Pricing Optimization: Evaluate and optimize pricing strategies based on market conditions, competitor pricing, and customer demand. Collaborate with the finance and sales teams to develop pricing models that ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Sales Strategy Development: Assist the sales team in developing data-driven sales strategies, pitches, and proposals. Provide regular updates on market conditions, customer feedback, and performance metrics.
- Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with the operations team to ensure that sales strategies align with operational capabilities and customer service standards. Collaborate with internal departments such as Finance and Operations to ensure the seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- CRM Management: Maintain and update sales databases and CRM systems with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Regular Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Sales Manager, Operations Manager, and other relevant stakeholders on sales performance, market trends, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the Business Analyst role, you must have the following qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, sales analysis, or a similar role, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proven experience in pricing strategy development and market analysis within the logistics sector is essential.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience with CRM and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with different levels of the organization and external customers.
- Knowledgeable in freight forwarding operations, including land, air, and sea transport, with an understanding of industry terminologies and processes.
- Other Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- Kuwaiti nationals are preferred for this role.
