The successful candidate will work closely with surveyors to assist in fieldwork, record measurements, and support engineering calculations. Responsibilities

  • Assist surveyors with field surveys, drafting survey notes, and creating detailed drawings.
  • Conduct on-site surveys and record measurements of terrain, distances, angles, and elevations.
  • Coordinate with other surveyors to ensure field activities are properly aligned with project goals.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations related to survey tasks.
  • Maintain logs, reports, and databases to ensure accurate records of survey activities.
  • Transport, assemble, and operate survey equipment while ensuring its maintenance.
  • Assist in placing survey markers, pegs, and collecting and labeling samples.
  • Analyze plot features and assist with determining land boundaries for housing estates, building sites, reservoirs, roads, and drainage systems.
  • Collect data on topography, natural resources, vegetation, and soil composition, and perform calculations using methods like metes and bounds or GPS.
  • Create visual representations of survey results using drafting software such as AutoCAD.
  • Prepare legal descriptions of land parcels, including boundary coordinates, lot dimensions, and locations.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and guidelines during all survey activities.

Qualifications

  • Certification in Surveying or High School diploma (required).
  • Relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Experience working in GCC countries (Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, UAE) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency with survey equipment, GPS, and drafting software like AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with land boundary determination methods, natural features analysis, and topography measurements.
