Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out repair work on mechanical, electrical, welding, and painting tasks under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Learn to disassemble, repair, and reassemble various engine and electrical components with supervision.
- Participate in on-the-job training, focusing on repair techniques and the use of tools for vehicle maintenance.
- Observe and perform simple and medium-level repair work on assigned vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Follow Al-Sayer Group’s policies and procedures for maintaining the workshop’s cleanliness and safety.
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports, documenting repair workflows and updates using internal communication portals.
- Participate in continuous learning programs, staying updated on the latest technologies and repair methods.
- Support the implementation of the Toyota Way and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Workshop Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Primary: Diploma (12th Standard + 2 or 3 years diploma) in Automotive Engineering or related fields.
- Alternate: Vocational Certificate in a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in automotive repair (preferred).
- Alternately, 4 years of relevant experience if holding a vocational certificate.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with exposure to mechanical, electrical, and maintenance tasks.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in basic automotive repair techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with documentation, quality control, and safety standards.
- Strong customer orientation, problem-solving abilities, and personal effectiveness.
- Good communication skills, with proficiency in English.
