Electrical Design Engineer Jobs in Kuwait

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems and ensuring their compliance with international standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical design works.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Conduct Electrical Design Works: Develop and design electrical systems for projects in the oil and gas, chemical, and petrochemical sectors.
• Use Software Tools: Utilize AutoCAD, ETAP, and illumination calculation software like Dialux or equivalent for design purposes.
• Perform Load Flow and Short Circuit Analysis: Conduct relay coordination and motor acceleration studies using ETAP, with a training certificate as a plus.
• Cable and Equipment Sizing: Determine appropriate cable and equipment sizing, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Implement Earthing and Lightning Protection: Calculate and implement effective earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Ensure Compliance: Stay updated on international standards such as IEC and IEEE to ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

• Experience: 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design engineering.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, and illumination calculation software. Experience with Smart Plant Electrical and E-SCADA is a plus.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cable sizing, equipment sizing, and earthing and lightning protection calculations.
• Certifications: Training certificates issued by ETAP are an added advantage.
• Standards Awareness: Familiarity with international standards like IEC and IEEE.
