Java Developer – Corporate Banking Domain

Responsibilities

As a Java Developer at VAM Systems, you will:

1. Develop and maintain applications using Java, adhering to industry best practices.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver efficient, high-quality solutions.
3. Design, build, and test robust applications using REST APIs, Spring Boot, and other technologies.
4. Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance and scalability.
5. Participate in pair programming and support continuous integration to ensure smooth deployment.
6. Conduct unit testing and performance testing to ensure application stability.
7. Document your code and technical processes to ensure clarity and support future development efforts.
8. Work closely with stakeholders in Corporate Banking to understand their needs and provide tailored technical solutions.
9. Stay updated with new technologies and trends, especially in the banking and financial services sector, to integrate modern solutions.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

1. 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on Java.
2. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and best practices.
3. Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with Agile principles like pair programming, continuous integration, and test-driven development (TDD).
4. Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.
5. Familiarity with WebLogic Server is advantageous, though not mandatory.
6. Knowledge of Microservices architecture and its implementation in a banking or enterprise environment is a plus.
7. Understanding of RESTful APIs and their integration with backend systems.
8. Familiarity with .NET (as part of the tech stack) and ability to collaborate with teams using other frameworks.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and grow in the corporate banking domain.
