Safety Supervisor (Project HSE Advisor I)

We are seeking a Safety Supervisor to implement safety policies and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on our project sites in Ahmadi, Kuwait. This role involves regular site visits, safety training sessions, and collaboration with contractors to maintain high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Implementation: Implement KOC PMC Safety policies, HSE Management Systems, and project-specific HSE Management Plans.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure site compliance with relevant HSE legislation and KOC requirements.
• Data Management: Maintain statistical data for the project and prepare reports for the Worley KOC PMC HSEQ Manager.
• Advisory Role: Provide advice and guidance to EPC contractor management on HSE issues and interpret KOC policies and statutory requirements.
• Safety Management System Review: Review EPC contractor Safety Management Systems and recommend necessary changes.
• Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to promote HSE awareness, safety talks, and training sessions.
• Hazard Identification: Assist construction management personnel in identifying hazards and organizing work safely.
• Audit and Assessment: Maintain HS&E audit and assessment programs, conduct regular inspections, and prepare reports.
• Safety Initiatives: Develop and implement safety initiatives to continually improve safety performance.
• Communication: Ensure effective communication regarding HSE matters among KOC, Worley, EPC contractors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Diploma in Engineering or HSE-related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Oil & Gas or related industries.
  • Relevant experience in a Safety Supervisor role is required.
• Certification:
  • Must have completed one or more certified HSE courses (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor).
• Skills:
  • Practical experience in identifying and controlling HSE issues on construction sites.
  • Familiarity with HSE reporting procedures and common construction safety hazards.

• Ability to mentor and guide others in HSE practices.
