Responsibilities
As a Solutions Architect for Automotive, your role will be central in helping automotive clients adopt our technology to solve real-world problems. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Engaging with clients: You will meet with customers during presales to understand their needs and present solutions.
- Collaborating with experts: You will work closely with Canonical’s experts in Cloud, Kubernetes, Security, and more, combining knowledge to develop tailored solutions for our clients.
- Delivering embedded Linux projects: You will participate in select projects, including delivering Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demos.
- Advising clients: You will be both a trusted advisor and a customer advocate, ensuring that clients’ needs are understood and met with the best possible solution.
- Shaping product offerings: You will provide feedback to internal stakeholders on market needs and help shape solutions that unlock market potential.
You’ll play a crucial role in building long-term relationships with our partners and ensuring that our solutions help their businesses thrive.
Qualifications
We’re looking for a candidate who has:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).
- Strong background in embedded Linux with experience in Yocto or RTOS.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken), along with the ability to present and explain technical details to non-experts.
- A passion for customer-facing engagement, including pitching, demonstrating, and understanding customer environments and needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, and a focus on results.
- Experience in the automotive industry is essential.
Additional qualities that will set you apart include experience with ISO26262 or ISO21434 standards, as well as experience with client engagements.
