A reputable contracting company in Kuwait is urgently seeking a Senior Accountant with extensive experience in the contracting field. The ideal candidate should have 8 to 10 years of experience, a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, and be familiar with various accounting software. This role is crucial for managing financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage all accounting transactions and ensure compliance with accounting regulations and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely bank payments and manage cash flow.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
- Develop and maintain internal control systems.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in accounting within the contracting industry.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
