As a DevOps Engineer, you will support our diverse customer mission areas by improving operational efficiency and helping to migrate legacy applications to modern platforms. Responsibilities
- Development Standards: Develop and adhere to coding standards established by rhino.ai to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Developers, Architects, and Engineers to understand project requirements and design effective tools and solutions.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain deployed environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance.
- Automation: Integrate tools and automate workflows to enhance operational efficiency and stability.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on assigned specialties and work on expanding knowledge into new areas.
- Innovation: Bring new ideas, tools, solutions, and techniques to the team.
- Analytical Decision Making: Use analytical thinking to make informed decisions based on facts and metrics.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Application Development, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in creating and maintaining build tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins or equivalent).
- 1-3 years of experience using AWS core services, including S3, EC2, and IAM.
- 1-3 years of Linux system administration experience.
- 1+ years of experience maintaining and administering Kubernetes clusters.
- Skills:
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and deployment techniques.
- Proficiency in integrating Git actions into build pipelines.
Desired Experience:
- Experience using Helm for deploying to Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AWS CodeBuild and CodePipeline.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
