Responsibilities
As part of the Early Career Traineeship, you will be involved in:
- Classroom and Field Training: Attend training sessions and participate in field jobs to fully understand cementing operations, including pre-job planning, engineering design, and job execution.
- Safety Induction: Complete HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) induction to familiarize yourself with Baker Hughes safety standards.
- Technical Support: Learn about laboratory support for field operations by testing oil well cements and cementing additives according to specifications.
- Wellsite Monitoring: Conduct wellsite visits to monitor job execution and gain hands-on experience with cementing equipment.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests, design slurries, and analyze results.
- Engineering Support: Provide basic engineering support, including data analysis and job design using cementing software.
- Field Work: Assist with rigging up and down, learning about cementing equipment and job execution.
Qualifications
To be successful in this traineeship, you will need:
- A bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry, graduated within the last 24 months.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.
- An inquisitive mindset with a thirst for knowledge.
- Willingness to work both in the laboratory and on-site when required.
- Legal entitlement to work in Kuwait without sponsorship or time restrictions.
