An exciting opportunity awaits a seasoned QA Engineer to join a major Cryogenic Gas Project in Ahmadi, Kuwait. As a key member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the project meets the highest quality standards and adheres to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Site Quality Plan (SQP) for the contractor team.
- Oversee quality control (QC) measures and ensure all work aligns with the SQP, contractor method statements, and inspection/test plans.
- Guarantee compliance with international quality standards like ISO 9000 (Quality Management), ISO 14000 (Environmental Management), and ISO 18000 (Occupational Health & Safety).
- Review and coordinate all contractor deliverables, including quality plans, inspection plans, procedures, specifications, and certifications.
- Maintain thorough documentation for a smooth handover of operations and maintenance (O&M) at project completion.
- Lead site audits to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to enhance QA/QC practices.
- Provide training to contractor personnel to address quality issues and ensure adherence to standards.
- Participate in occasional visits to project facilities and jetties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, science, or similar).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality management within the Oil & Gas industry, with a specific focus on Cryogenic Gas projects.
- Possession of a valid Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) certification (mandatory).
Additional Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards including ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and ISO 18000.
- Proven experience working in a multinational environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with senior management, stakeholders, and government authorities.
- Currently residing in Kuwait with a valid transferable work visa (Article 18).
