Software Engineer – Revit, C#, .NET (Short-Term Contract)

Braintrust is looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Revit API, C#, and .NET to join our team on a short-term contract basis (2-3 months). This is a remote opportunity for professionals across the EMEA region. Responsibilities

• Develop & Maintain: Build and maintain Revit API-based tools, scripts, and add-ins.
• Integration: Integrate Revit add-ins with Snaptrude’s web applications for seamless interoperability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to automate and streamline workflows.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Revit API tools and scripts.
• Format Conversion: Convert between various formats such as IFC, RVT, FBX, OBJ, DWG, PDF, and more, depending on project requirements.
• Research & Development: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Revit API and BIM technology to drive innovation.
• Training: Provide guidance and training to other developers on using Revit/AutoCAD API-based tools.
• Automation: Automate build and deployment processes for Revit add-ins.
• Bonus: Experience with ODA (Open Design Alliance) API is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience, particularly with Revit API programming.
• Proficiency in .NET Languages: Expertise in C# or VB.NET for Revit API development.
• BIM Expertise: Solid understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) principles and hands-on experience with Revit and other BIM software.
• Geometry & Math: Strong grasp of geometry and math concepts as applied to 3D design and modeling.
• Programming Skills: Demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Development Tools: Experience working in Agile environments and proficiency with development tools such as Git, Visual Studio, and software development methodologies.
• Cloud Environment: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Heroku is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Data Engineering.
• Experience with automated build and deployment pipelines for Revit add-ins.
• Familiarity with Open Design Alliance (ODA) API.
