SPETCO, a company located in Jahra, Kuwait, is seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Engineer to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive master schedule for complex projects.
- Identify key milestones and take proactive steps to achieve them on time.
- Collaborate with all project teams to track progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions.
- Assist project leadership in day-to-day planning and control activities.
- Review contractor’s project schedules and provide constructive feedback.
- Verify and approve project documentation, reports, and contractor/consultant deliverables.
- Ensure all project activities comply with company quality procedures, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards, and industry best practices.
- Utilize Primavera P6 scheduling software and stay up-to-date on project control methodologies.
- Train and mentor junior engineers, fostering a knowledge transfer within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Approved KSE certification required).
- Minimum 12 years of experience in engineering and project management/planning, with at least 5 years specifically as a Planning Engineer.
- Experience in construction and oil & gas projects is highly preferred.
- Prior experience working in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region is a plus.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software. PMP certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate in a multicultural environment.
- Must be currently residing in Kuwait with a transferable residency visa.
