Responsibilities
As an Information Security Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring, analyzing, and detecting security threats to the organization’s networks and systems, both internal and external.
- Handling security incidents and providing timely responses to mitigate risks.
- Preparing and providing periodic reports on network and security health status to management.
- Administrating, managing, and configuring network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Managing and configuring software and hardware products, specifically from Fortinet and Cisco.
- Implementing and enforcing security protocols and policies, including sandboxing, encryption, and DDoS protections.
- Utilizing and managing security tools such as Anti-Virus, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and DNS solutions.
- Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans and strategies to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years in information security, network security, and threat analysis.
- Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include CCNP, NSE (Network Security Expert), and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in network and security protocols, as well as experience with Fortinet and Cisco products.
- Proficient in monitoring and managing security threats, as well as disaster recovery planning.
- Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
