We are looking for a passionate Web Developer (WordPress) to join our dynamic team at WebFX. This role involves developing and maintaining web-based projects using the LAMP solution stack, with a focus on WordPress and other open-source CMS platforms. Responsibilities
- Web Development: Program, develop, and produce data-driven web applications, websites, and mobile apps using the latest technology solutions and machine learning.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate and participate in the programming, implementation, testing, and support of web-based projects.
- Client Consultation: Consult with clients and the account team to ensure effective use of Internet-based technologies for enterprise business applications.
- Debugging & Maintenance: Maintain and debug existing websites, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Desired Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline (preferred).
General Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of database design and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of the software development life-cycle and best practices.
Experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP and project-level experience with PHP/WordPress CMS, utilizing Advanced Custom Fields (note: we do not work with page builders).
- Experience with at least one other open-source CMS platform (e.g., Magento, Shopify, Joomla, Drupal).
- Familiarity with web-based programming languages and cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure).
- Proficiency in a LAMP environment and knowledge of OOP and procedural programming methodologies.
- Familiarity with standard-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Git version control (or other version control software).
- Knowledge of package management and task runners (e.g., NPM, Yarn, Gulp, Grunt).
- Browser testing abilities using built-in developer tools.
- Experience with e-commerce solutions and methodologies.
- Previous experience in a development firm or agency environment.
