Sales and Business Development Executive (Logistics and Freight Forwarding)

TASC Outsourcing is seeking a motivated Sales and Business Development Executive with a strong background in logistics and freight forwarding. This role will focus on driving growth by managing a book of business, developing new client relationships, and providing excellent service to existing clients. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your efforts will directly contribute to the company’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Book of Business (BOB): Ensure constant growth in volume, revenue, and margin by effectively managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Hunting and Farming: Focus on acquiring new clients (hunting) while maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients (farming).
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and stay ahead in the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
  • SOP Customization: Collaborate with branch operations to tailor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around the specific needs of clients, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Client Relationship Management: Assist clients with day-to-day requests related to export/import quotations, negotiations, and service queries to ensure opportunity closing and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner Coordination: Work closely with DPW’s internal network and external partner agents to deliver the best possible service and support for client opportunities.
  • CRM System Management: Utilize the CRM system to manage the sales pipeline, track activities, and report progress, forming the basis for the Field Sales Incentive Scheme.
  • Industry Updates: Stay informed about local regulations, industry trends, new practices, and any enhancements that could impact business.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in sales, business development, or a similar role in logistics or freight forwarding.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the logistics industry and freight forwarding operations.
    • Proficiency in market analysis and identifying growth opportunities.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Experience in using CRM systems to track client activity and manage sales pipelines.
    • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Other: Knowledge of local Kuwait regulations and industry trends is a plus.
