Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise and Training:
- Provide in-depth technical advice and training to KAF officers and enlisted personnel on aircraft maintenance procedures and systems.
- Ensure all personnel are proficient in handling technical aircraft issues.
- Policy and Procedure Evaluation:
- Review, assess, and provide strategic recommendations on existing KAF maintenance policies.
- Assist in refining and improving the overall effectiveness of KAF’s aviation maintenance programs.
- Program Development and Implementation:
- Collaborate with KAF personnel in the creation, implementation, and management of aviation maintenance programs.
- Ensure all programs are in line with KAMP and aviation best practices.
- Problem Analysis and Corrective Measures:
- Identify problem areas in KAF’s maintenance processes and recommend corrective measures.
- Work closely with KAF to troubleshoot and resolve any operational challenges.
- On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Cross Training:
- Support the ongoing development of KAF personnel through structured OJT and cross-training programs.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
- Technical Directives and Communication:
- Assist KAF in managing technical directives and NAVAIR letters.
- Provide guidance on how to properly implement these directives to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance or a related technical field.
- At least 4 years of experience with the implementation of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Effective communication of complex technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Administrative Skills:
- High-level administrative experience with an ability to manage and instruct foreign nationals.
- Computer Skills:
- Proficient in using PCs and commercial word processing programs.
- Security Clearance:
- Must possess a US Secret Security Clearance.
