We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Civil Engineering to begin in the Fall 2024 semester. Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Teaching & Mentorship: Develop and deliver undergraduate courses, prepare teaching materials, and provide mentorship to students on their academic and research endeavors.
- Research & Publication: Actively engage in research, publish findings in refereed journals, and contribute to departmental research initiatives.
- Student Support: Evaluate, monitor, and mentor students, ensuring they achieve academic success.
- Curriculum Development: Design assessments and prepare class activities that enhance student learning.
- Service to the University: Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to committee work, and support college-wide initiatives and activities.
- Professional Development: Maintain expertise in civil engineering subjects through continuous learning and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD in Civil Engineering or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Experience: Demonstrated teaching experience and a strong research background, with an excellent publication record over the past five years.
- Skills: Proficient in oral and written English; industry experience is a plus.
- Research Interests: Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Construction
- Environmental Engineering
- Geomatics
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Hydraulic and Hydrologic Engineering
- Materials Science
- Structural Engineering
- Transportation Engineering
- Other relevant fields in Civil Engineering
