We invite applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Computer Engineering, starting in the Fall 2024 semester. Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Teaching & Mentorship: Develop and deliver undergraduate courses, prepare teaching materials, and provide guidance to students on academic progress and research projects.
- Research & Publication: Engage in research activities, publish findings in refereed journals, and contribute to the advancement of departmental research initiatives.
- Student Support: Evaluate, monitor, and mentor students, while actively participating in student advising.
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement assessment methods, including quizzes and exams, to evaluate student learning outcomes.
- Service to the University: Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to committee work, and support college-wide initiatives.
- Professional Development: Maintain and improve expertise in relevant subjects through continuous learning and participation in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD in Computer Engineering or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Experience: Proven teaching experience and a strong research background, with a solid publication record in the last five years.
- Skills: Demonstrable capability in oral and written English; industry experience is a plus.
- Research Interests: Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Artificial Intelligence and its sub-areas
- Data Structures and Object-Oriented Programming
- Computer Architecture and Design
- Systems Analysis and Design
- Other relevant areas in Computer Engineering
