Position Overview
The Liberal Arts Department (LAD) at AUM is seeking full-time faculty members for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Physical Education. The appointment will begin in the Fall 2024 Semester.
Job Requirements
- A Ph.D. degree in Physical Education, Sports, Exercise Science, or a relevant major from an internationally accredited university.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research, with a track record of publications in indexed journals.
Faculty Responsibilities
Faculty members are expected to commit to AUM’s mission and learner-centered approach by:
- Engaging in teaching activities related to specialization courses and relevant common courses.
- Contributing significantly to the advancement of research activities.
- Actively supporting college and departmental activities with leadership, accountability, and collegiality.
Job Description
- Prepare course materials, including syllabi, presentations, and assignments, in collaboration with faculty colleagues.
- Deliver student-centered lectures using available learning management systems (Moodle and Banner).
- Administer and grade formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours for student consultations.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental initiatives.
- Conduct research and publish findings in alignment with institutional policies.
