Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate General Counsel, Transactions to join our legal team. This role is critical as you will be the primary in-house legal advisor on a variety of corporate transactions, ecosystem development, and commercial agreements. You will report directly to the General Counsel and play a vital role in shaping the company’s strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Corporate Transactions:
- Lead and manage corporate transactions including financings, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Structure and negotiate cross-border partnerships within the crypto ecosystem.
- Legal Advisory:
- Provide counsel on product development, privacy, data protection, and intellectual property matters.
- Advise internal clients on legal and compliance implications of transactions.
- Project Management:
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, delivering timely legal guidance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide strategic legal insights.
- External Relations:
- Direct and manage relationships with outside counsel for complex legal matters.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Legally qualified to practice in your jurisdiction.
- Relevant experience in both a top-tier law firm and in-house legal environment.
- Prior exposure to the crypto space is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of cross-border transactions and ability to navigate different jurisdictions.
- Exceptional judgment, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Mindset:
- A proactive and flexible thinker with a “good bedside manner” as a legal advisor.
- Commercially aware with a strategic, risk-focused mindset.
- Language:
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
