Responsibilities

Culinary Duties:

  • Menu Planning: Develop and design menus, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffets, and cocktail events.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare meals according to culinary techniques and health standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure food quality and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen after each event.

Stock Management:

  • Purchasing: Manage the procurement of food supplies and monitor financial expenditures.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels and ensure proper stock management, including monitoring expiration dates of products.

General Coordination:

  • Operational Planning: Coordinate all activities contributing to the smooth operation of the Residence, including the organization of receptions and meals.
  • External Services: Supervise certain external services in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Embassy (SGA).
  • Team Management: Organize work schedules and responsibilities for service agents and technical staff.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and report on kitchen expenditures and ensure adherence to budget constraints.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A diploma in hospitality or culinary arts, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen management role.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of the local language and familiarity with regional cuisine would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of the cultural nuances in a diplomatic context.
